What's next for Lethal Company?

With Lethal Company having released in Early Access, you’re probably wondering what the roadmap looks like, and when the next update will be.

I also am wondering the same thing, which led me to do some deep research into this co-op horror game’s future updates. Here’s what we know so far.

What is Lethal Company’s roadmap?

Just by reading the Steam store page and the Early Access FAQ, we know for a fact that the 21-year-old developer Zeekerss plans to finish Lethal Company and get it out of Early Access within six months. With that being said, they also said it’ll remain in this state until they’re satisfied with it. When the game does become fully released, they also don’t plan to change the price.

For the actual roadmap of future Lethal Company updates, Zeekerss on Twitter/X said that version 45 is probably releasing sometime in the week of November 27. With that in mind, you can expect future updates to be announced hopefully frequently through the developer’s Twitter/X account.

In another post on November 19, Zeekerss hinted at the next enemy being seasonal. They wanted this enemy in the game by release, but for now they’re still working on them. And by seasonal, they mean the enemy fits the winter season. It’ll be interesting to see what that means.

Speaking of new enemies, Zeekerss hopes that the full version of Lethal Company is “so full of creatures, items, customization, and map variations that it feels ‘infinitely replayable'”. This means that you can hope to see new creatures and items on the horizon.

Zeekerss also enjoys reading community feedback to help focus the game’s design. They’ll mainly be looking at reactions on the Lethal Company Discord and Patreon, alongside video playthroughs. One thing to note is that they said they may use fan ideas for creatures, which could allow the Mimic idea to come alive.

Since Zeekerss just recently release Lethal Company, it’s hard to say whether there will be scheduled and regular updates. But for now, updates will probably just release whenever they’re ready.
