If you want to squad up with friends and tackle missions together in Men of War 2, then you’re in luck since every single-player mode in the game supports cooperative play with a group of up to five. There’s no dedicated co-op menu, though, so figuring out how to invite people can be tricky.

To add friends to a co-op session, click the friends icon in the top-right corner of the screen while at the main menu in Men of War 2. Then, just invite whoever you want from your Steam friend list. When they join, you’ll see their profile pictures pop up next to yours. Once everyone’s in, just pick a story mission, historical mission, conquest map, or raid and you’ll be able to play together. Your chosen difficulty settings and other rules will apply to everyone in the lobby, so keep that in mind.

PvP is much more straightforward than co-op in Men of War 2. Just click the Multiplayer tab on the main menu and you’ll be taken to the PVP section. There are three main game modes to choose from: Batallions, Classic, and Combined Arms. Each mode sports different objectives and player counts, so there’s a playlist for every type of player.

If you want to create a custom lobby to play with friends or adjust the rules to your liking, then click the Lobby menu while in the Multiplayer section. You’ll be able to create a public or private PVP lobby and tweak all the settings however you like, including turning on Realism Mode.
