New Team Fortress 2 Game Mode Teased?

The latest Team Fortress 2 patch indicates that a new game mode might be coming soon.A set of voice files reportedly buried deep in the new patch (thanks, Kotaku) indicate that some sort of “Friendship” mode or ability might be in the works. You can have a listen to the files for yourself in the video below, and then start speculating. Our guesses? It’ll either randomise the teams a little or be some sort of ability letting you form a “friendship” with people on the other team. There’s the possibility that the Announcer will do something nasty to those striking up friendships, but we kinda doubt Valve would want to involve AI-controlled foes in a multiplayer game. That, or this is Valve messing with the fans, which also wouldn’t be a huge surprise.
