No new Metro game in 2017 says Deep Silver

Deep Silver has released a statement following yesterday’s news that a new Metro game from 4A would be arriving in 2017.

It was thought that a new game was scheduled for 2017 following a post from Metro author Dmitry Glukhovsky in which there was a timeline of releases. The timeline mentioned a new game in the series.

The update posted by Deep Silver denies there is a game scheduled for next year.

As the exclusive rights holder to videogames set in the Metro 2033 universe, Deep Silver has ambitious plans for the hugely successful Metro series.

But just to manage our fans’ expectations – releasing the next Metro game in 2017 is not one of them.

When we have more news to share, we will.

Thank you for your patience.
