Varoom is one of the more interesting new Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Steel/Poison type boasts a unique design and is commonly found throughout the game. In fact, Team Star uses Varoom and its evolved form, Revavroom, as a mascot. Fortunately, Varoom can be found fairly commonly throughout the game and can be evolved even more efficiently. Here’s our guide on how to evolve Varoom in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Where to find Varoom in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The first step to evolving Varoom in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is to find and catch one. In Scarlet and Violet, Varoom can be found in East Province (Area Three) and West Province (Area Two). They are typically found in the more desert-like biomes, and their level will depend on where you caught the Varoom. Additionally, Varoom can be found in 2-Star Tera Raid Battles. Varooms from these Raid Battles will be level 20.

How to evolve Varoom
Once you have caught a Varoom, the next step to evolve your Varoom in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is to get it to level 40. When it reaches level 40, it will attempt to evolve into Revavroom. However, if you want to stop this for some reason, you can cancel the evolution during its animation by pressing the B button. If you do this, your Varoom will attempt to evolve each time it levels up past 40.
There are several ways to gain experience and level up your Pokémon fast in Scarlet and Violet. First, the new auto-battling feature allows you to send your Pokémon out into the world and fight wild Pokémon without entering a battle. While this grants less experience than an actual battle, the lack of battle animations is a huge time-saver. Furthermore, you can use the Exp. Candies rewarded to you for completing Tera Raid Battles. These candies come in many sizes, each granting a lump sum of experience points to a Pokémon of your choosing. Moreover, you can use Rare Candies, which will level up your Pokémon once for each candy.
