The first piece of post-launch content for Remnant 2 has been announced, and it will be released later this month. The Awakened King will be available for Remnant 2 players on November 14 and cost $9.99 standalone. Players can also purchase the Downloadable Content Bundle which packs all three upcoming DLCs into one package for $24.99.

The Awakened King will see players further interacting with the world of Losomn. We’ll seemingly see a lot more of Nimue who didn’t get a ton of screen time in the base game. Given that Nimue was on the cover of the game, it was clear that she had a larger role to play in the grand scheme of things. It seems like The Awakened King will finally give her more of the spotlight.

Alongside the release date announcement, Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games released a short teaser trailer that gives us a glimpse at what the DLC has to offer. For the most part, it doesn’t seem to be much different from the Losomn we already explore in Remnant 2. But there does seem to be a hint that there will be a new boss fight that will have players square off against a foe that’s likely to be a tough opponent.
Here is the list of additions coming to Remnant 2 with The Awakened King:
- New Storyline, Dungeons and Area Based in the World of Losomn: Delve deeper into the land of Losomn and experience a brand new storyline about the One True King – whose mind has been poisoned by the Root and is out for revenge against those who oppose him.
- New Archetype – The Ritualist: Leveraging status effects to punish foes, this new Archetype is a master of pain and suffering. More details on the Archetype will be revealed closer to the release date.
- Many Items and Powerful Weapons that Enhance Gameplay: Outfit your survivor to survive this more deadly version of the world of Losomn by choosing from a host of new weapons and modifications, along with new items, like amulets and rings.
- New Bosses, Characters and Fearsome Creatures to Encounter: Mysterious threats and survivors, of unknown origin, emerge from the ocean depths and roam the streets bringing new challenges for all players.
Remnant 2 is available for purchase on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
