The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 sounds like a next-gen gaming chair

Reaching new highs.
Secretlab 2022 Gaming Chair Evo Titan

Gaming chairs have somewhat of a reputation for being cheap ergonomic nightmares, but there has been some serious progress in recent years. Brands like Secretlab continue to push the boundaries for comfort and quality, and the Titan Evo 2022 is a prime example of that effort. The company revealed the new design today, and it has several revisions that seek to address the outstanding complaints about gaming chairs.

The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 looks very much like the existing Titan model, but the changes under the hood (or should we say the fabric) are what count. Starting with support, the new model features Secrelab’s 4-way L-ADAPT lumbar support system. That’s fancy talk for the improved posture you’ll experience while in it. The gist of the system is that it works to support your back in a way that follows the curve of your spine. That’s the pitch at least, and we’re really curious to see how it performs since a lack of ergonomics have plagued the reputation of gaming chairs for years.

Speaking of comfort, there’s a new piston on this model that allows the chair to get lower to the ground. This will help the chair accommodate a wider variety of people as well as help the arms fit below more desks, so that’s another positive change.

Drawn to design

Headrest pillows also come with a mixed reputation among users. Some say the pillows feel great, while others curse ’em. Whatever you think of the comfort of these pillows, there’s one thing we can all agree on, though. The straps that hold them in place look bad. The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 says “be gone!” to this problem through the use of magnets to keep the pillow in place. The magnets are also placed in several locations so that you can set the height of the pillow as needed.

2022 Titan Evo Armrest Min

This last revision shouldn’t surprise you either. People love to complain about the cheap arms that come on most gaming chairs, and rightly so. The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 ditches plastic to offer all-metal arms that even detach via magnets. You’ll be able to easily swap out worn arm rests and probably purchase some kind of premium armrests as well.

Secretlab offers a variety of sizes, color choices, and materials you can get these chairs in as well as some special edition options. Pricing starts at $449 USD, and you can order the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 starting today.
