Skyrim contains a cute little Minecraft reference

Games that house references to other games make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s nice to see that on a developer-to-developer level there’s no ill will between potential rivals and that they’re prepared to celebrate each other’s work by highlighting them in their own game.
That exactly what Bethesda seem to have done, Skyrim containing a tasty little nod towards Mojang’s Minecraft. The ‘Notched Pickaxe’ is surely a reference to Minecraft’s most essential tool. As you may know, ‘Notch’ is the alias Minecraft’s creator goes by.
If you’re after it for yourself then get looking around Skyrim’s largest mountain, The Throat of the World.
