Starfield Red Tape Blues quest guide: How to delete the other candidates’ applications

That's your password?!

During the Red Tape Blues quest, you will help Trevor procure more equipment for his miners by becoming an Executive Assistant for Peter Brennan at Deimos. After filling out an application for the Executive Assistant job posting by completing a short questionnaire at the Deimos Sales Terminal on the Deimos space station, Trevor will tell you that you must delete other candidates’ applications to guarantee that you are hired for the position.

Here’s how to delete other candidates’ applications during the Red Tape Blues quest in Starfield:

  1. Head to the HR office in the Central Hub of Cydonia
  2. Wait until 6:00 PM by sitting at the empty desk
  3. Access Tia’s computer after she leaves
  4. Open the Job Applicants folder
  5. Select the Delete All Other Candidate Applications button
  6. Return to Trevor

Haven’t made it far enough to delete other candidates’ applications yet? Here are the answers to the Executive Assistant job posting.

To do so, you must access Tia’s HR office terminal. Trevor says he learned that her password is ‘drowssap’ because she gets drunk and very loud. This is funny since her password is just the word password spelled backward. Head up the stairs to the top and find the HR offices in the Central Hub area.

If Tia is still sitting at her desk, you must sit in a chair and wait until she goes home.

Starfield Red Tape Blues, Step 3

There is an empty desk in the office where you can sit and wait. In my multiple playthroughs, I found that waiting until 6:00 PM local time is the best.

You’ll know you’ve waited long enough when you hear Tia say: “Okay. If no one else is going to say it, I will… I’m ready to leave here and go to the Spear.”

Wait for them to walk out, and you can access her computer without interruption.

Once you’ve accessed Tia’s computer, you will want to open the Job Applications folder.

Scroll down until you find the “Delete All Other Candidate Applications” option.

Now, you will only see your name in there after deleting the other candidates’ applications in Starfield. Your Red Tape Blues quest will be updated, and you need to speak with Trevor again to proceed with the last part of the Red Tape Blues mission in Starfield.
