Steam Downtime Tomorrow

Valve has announced that Steam will have planned downtime for maintenance tomorrow night. The maintenance is scheduled for 6pm Pacific Time, which should be around 2am GMT.According to the news post on the Steam website, Valve expects the downtime to last “three hours at most,” although if you apply Valve Time, we suspect this means the service will be back up sometime in 2013.Affected services will apparently include the Steam Community, in-game matchmaking and lobbies, downloading games, and making purchases. Valve notes that any games that don’t rely on Steam’s matchmaking services “should remain playable.”As such, if there’s anything you want to do on Steam – maybe play some Counter-Strike, or buy Titan Quest – you’d better do it by 6pm tomorrow.
