The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story- Best Ultimates

Unchained.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is based on the League of Legends champion Sylas, and his rebellion against Demacia. Sylas is reimagined as a character in this action RPG, letting you explore his diverse move-set. Alongside spells and melee attacks, Sylas also has access to an ultimate-Unchained Mode. This powerful move significantly changes combat in your favor. Here are some of the best ultimates in The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story.

How to unlock Unchained Mode in The Mageseeker

Like spells, you will unlock Unchained Mode as you progress the main quest. Once you rescue Kara, continue progressing the main questline until you stumble upon a feather from the Veiled Lady. The game will ask you to give this feather to Kara. Kara is found near Leilani who has been helping you with your spell arsenal. Giving the feather to Kara will lead to dialogue with her resulting in unlocking Unchained Mode.

You can continue speaking with Kara throughout the course of the game to unlock upgrades for Unchained Modes and unique abilities to use in Unchained Mode. You can unlock these abilities by defeating bosses to harness their abilities when you use your ultimate.

Once you have access to Unchained Mode, you can use it in missions. Attack enemies and engage in combat to fill up your ultimate gauge. Once full, press the specified button (F on keyboard) to unleash Unchained Mode. Press the button yet again to use your Ultimate Ability. Using Unchained Mode makes you incredibly powerful for a short amount of time, so make sure to use it wisely to turn a battle in your favor.

Best Ultimates in The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story

There are a variety of  Ultimates that can be used in the game, each with its unique strengths and effects. Here are my picks for some of the best.

Demacian Justice

Demacian Justice is an amazing ultimate to deal burst damage. It deals a massive amount of damage in a small area, letting you remove a large portion of a boss’s health. This is best for single targets due to its small AoE, but its massive damage offsets this drawback.

Demacian Justice can be unlocked by defeating the boss Garen during the second half of the game.

Cataclysm

Cataclysm is a phenomenal way to control the battlefield. When cast, it locks down an enemy in an arena. This prevents it from moving away from your attacks. It also prevents other enemies from attacking you while you are in that arena. This makes it amazing for taking out a priority target by isolating it from its friends.

Cataclysm can be unlocked by defeating Shyvana and Jarvan IV in the second half of the game.

Dragon’s Descent

Dragon’s Descent burns the ground in a large AoE, dealing damage on impact and dealing damage over time. This Ultimate is fantastic for dealing with large crowds and for enemies that remain stationary. This Ultimate is not the best for boss fights, since it requires the boss to remain in a limited area.

Like Cataclysm, this Ultimate can be unlocked by defeating Jarvan IV and Shyvana.

Divine Judgement

Divine Judgement is the most unique Ultimate in the game. When activated, it grants invincibility for a short amount of time. This makes it great for surviving during a tough situation, or for creating an opening to deal damage. Its flexibility easily makes it the best Ultimate in The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story.

Divine Judgement can be unlocked in the act of the game, just before the final boss.
