Developed by Volition back in 1998 and 1999, the FreeSpace series has gained a lot of popularity since it’s original release. This is mainly due to the strong mod support that FreeSpace 2, that has been going on from since 2002. The FreeSpace series is arguably the best set of games in their genre. Why such a bold statement? See for yourself!
