Early on in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, Cahal meets a guardian spirit named Yfen. This NPC provides you with a sidequest to find the spirits around the camp. Here’s our mini-guide to help you out.
Note: Doing this quest, and learning about Penumbra Vision, will certainly help Cahal amass experience points. In turn, you’ll be able to unlock the best skills to help you finish your missions.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood: Yfen’s spirit quest and getting more EXP using Penumbra Vision
Cahal can use Penumbra Vision (default “R”) while he’s in human or wolf form. By holding the “R” key, you’ll see the energies surrounding you.
With Penumbra Vision active, try to find glowing red orbs, shining idols, and green plants while you’re exploring near your camp or while inside Endron’s facilities. You should see a spirit elemental and, by pressing the “E” key, Cahal will get a bit of EXP.
As for Yfen’s spirit quest, you can get this after the introductory mission. After meeting Yfen in your camp, select the “Help Yfen” dialogue option.
Your goal is to find four animal spirits and five fallen Garou spirits around the camp. As usual, Penumbra Vision will guide you. Just be sure to watch out for those red energy/mist which symbolizes a spirit that you can talk to.
Animal spirits
The bear spirit is found at the cliffside overlooking the Endron fracking site. Just follow the bottom exit close to Yfen’s spot and loop around to reach the cliff.
The other three spirits (fox, deer, and raccoon) are found at the opposite edge of the camp. The fox and raccoon are overlooking the open area that leads to Endron’s training facility.
Meanwhile, the deer is further away to the right when facing the Endron building.
Fallen Garou spirits
The five fallen Garou spirits are all inside the camp. A couple of them are fairly close to Yfen’s tree, and another one is off to the side along a slope.
The last two spirits are further above past the planning rooms. They’re in a small cavern that leads to the cliffside area that’s close to the deer spirit.
