Destiny 2 Season of the Wish, or Destiny 2 Season 23, is a strange one thanks to The Final Shape delays. How long will Destiny 2 Season of the Wish be, when will it start, and when will it end?
Destiny 2 Season of the Wish: Start date and time
Destiny 2 Season of the Wish launches on Tuesday, November 28 at 9 am PST. The time is the regular weekly reset time, so you can expect the new season to arrive then.

However, as has been my experience with every new season of Destiny 2, count on the servers being throttled and buggy. You most likely won’t get into Season of the Wish for around an hour or two after it goes live, if all goes right.
Destiny 2 Season of the Wish: End date and time
Destiny 2 Season of the Wish will run for the entirety of December and January and will end on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 9 am PT. Usually, the end date for seasons is more unknown, but we have a good idea of when Season of the Wish will end because February 27 was the original date for The Final Shape which would mark the end of Season of the Wish.
Technically, Season of the Wish will run until June 4, 2024, which is the new date for The Final Shape. However, content for Season of the Wish is scheduled out until February 27. You’ll still be able to do all Season of the Wish until June 4, 2024, which is when The Final Shape begins and we get our first Episode which replaces seasons.
What is after Destiny 2 Season of the Wish?
When the Destiny 2 Season of the Wish’s content runs dry in February, we’ve been promised that we’ll get new weekly progression-based quests called Wishes for a period of time. These will kick off near the end of February, around the time The Final Shape was going to come out, and, while we aren’t sure how long they’ll run, I’d guess they’ll run for a month or two.
In March, we’ll stay busy by playing Guardian Games which is said to get a refresh that’ll focus more on class vs. class competition. That sounds exciting to me.
After we get through Destiny 2 Season of the Wish content, we’ll go directly into Destiny 2: Into the Light in April which will lead us to The Final Shape. This is a two-month content update that could feature a few things.
