Where to find Dondons in Tears of the Kingdom

Dondons in Tears of the Kingdom only appear at one location in the game. This makes them pretty hard to find, or very easy to find if you know where to look. You can find Dondons in the Bronas Forest area of the map, which is in the south-east. The exact location you can find them you can see on the map below.

The easiest way to get to them is to fast travel to the shrine that’s next to the nearby stable, and then cross the river and climb the wall. Then you’ll be right on top of the Dondons.

What do you need Dondons for?

Dondons have two uses in Tears of the Kingdom. One of them is that they are used in the questline with the Lucky Clover Gazette, where you need to complete quests at different stables throughout Hyrule. In one of these quests, it’s rumored that Princess Zelda was seen riding a horned beast, and those horned beasts are indeed the Dondons that are in this enclosed location.

Outside of that, Dondons in Tears of the Kingdom have another use, which is giving you gemstones. If you feed them a Luminous Stone, they can drop one of a few gemstones for you. Which is a handy use for the Luminous Stones you might have in your inventory. While we’re unsure of the timing, if you feed them Luminous Stones, then leave and come back a while later, they will have dropped some gemstones for you to pick up.
