Like a Dragon Gaiden – where to find Formal Attire

You meet a variety of characters in the game, mostly as you work to complete odd jobs and missions for the Akame Network. One such character is a woman you find in the Castle. She wants you to wear a particular outfit that reminds her of her deceased husband, but first you must assemble the components. The most difficult piece to obtain is the Formal Attire. You find the Formal Attire in Ebisu Pawn Sotenbori, but only when the game is ready.

You might meet the woman at the Castle relatively early in the campaign, depending on your activities to that point. When you talk to her, she indicates that she wants you to come to her wearing a particular outfit. Doing so will satisfy the conditions of The Outfit from My Memories.

To assemble the outfit, you need the Formal Attire, a Single Rose, and the Leather Shoes. You can buy the rose and shoes from the clothing store in the Castle, located close to where the woman stands. However, you can only acquire the Formal Suit once you advance the campaign to Chapter 4. Don’t make my mistake and visit all the shops in the game looking for an item they don’t sell you outright.

Early in Chapter 4, you go on a bit of a spending spree. The game walks you through this event, and one of your stops is Ebisu Pawn Shop. The suit you want is very expensive, but you won’t have to pay for it out of pocket. Just let the scene unfold. Partway through that adventure, you acquire the Formal Attire. You can equip it the next time you visit the Castle. If you’ve already done a bit of shopping, it should be easy to clear the support mission.
