The only way to get Poison Eyes in Wizard with a Gun is to eliminate organic enemies with poison bullets. If you try to defeat enemies that aren’t organic lifeforms, like the Mechana stone enemies, you won’t get a Poison Eye even if you are using poison bullets.

After you have unlocked and crafted poison bullets, you are ready to hunt for Poison Eyes. I highly recommend equipping your poison ammo onto your machine wand, which is the SMG. The key to having poison ammo be effective is to apply as many poison stacks as you can on an enemy, and you’ll do that best with the rapid-fire machine wand gun.

The organic enemies I recommend hunting are the Jynxes. These are the teal cats you’ll find basically everywhere. You can find large groups of them by finding the skull icon on your minimap. Take out the Mother of All Jynxes or ignore her and go after the little ones. They run away quickly, so apply as many poison stacks as you can and give chase.

I recommend dealing damage to the Jynxes with another great ammo type like shocking bullet or cold bullet, but make sure you finish them off with poison damage. The only way to get a Poison Eye is to get the kill with poison damage.

One defeated Jynx usually produces one Poison Eye. Collect them, return through the portal, and use your newly acquired Poison Eyes to upgrade your poison bullets. Happy hunting!
