Where to find Rito Village Chasm in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

It's all mine.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom presents a version of Hyrule that has been rocked by an event called the Upheaval. Huge chasms have appeared across the land. Most of them are pretty easy to spot. Some of them are not. This guide tells you where to find Rito Village Chasm in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – where to find Rito Village Chasm

The majority of chasms are plainly visible. You’ll find them as you wander across a prairie, or they appear on a high plateau. Even from a distance, you can see nasty red vapors rising from the wide opening, inviting intrepid explorers to journey into the Depths. However, not every chasm is so obvious.

To find Rito Village Chasm, you need to start from a high point near Rito Village. The most convenient method is to fast travel to Gatakis Shrine. It stands near the base of the high rock column on which the building is built.

Once you appear at Gatakis Shrine, start forward through the trees ahead of you with the shrine to your back. You will reach a high ledge, overlooking the tops of some trees and a bridge. Jump out from the ledge and start gliding forward. Quickly turn in the air to look back at the point from which you jumped.

Lower on that ledge, you should see a small cave opening. Glide down to that opening. Ahead, you’ll see the familiar fumes rising from the local chasm.

Proceed through the cave and jump through the gloom-lined opening. Glide down to arrive in the Depths, as usual. You will be near Sikatag Lightroot. Make sure to activate it. That shrine is located near the Abandoned Hebra Mine.

By the time I found Rito Village Chasm, I had long since explored most of the surrounding area in the Depths. However, the chasm leads to an island you can’t reach through other means. Inside the Abandoned Hebra Mine, assuming you have vanquished him in the other locations, you will battle Master Kohga. It’s a worthwhile discovery.
