Where to get the Bowcaster in Fortnite

Wield the Wookiee weapon of choice

The Bowcaster is a Star Wars collab weapon and is required for several challenges. The issue is it can be difficult to find. With this in mind, let me show you where to get the Bowcaster in Fortnite.

How to find the Wookiee Bowcaster in Fortnite

The Wookiee Bowcaster is Mythic Rare loot, so they are pretty hard to come by. In my testing, I’ve not found any specific locations where Bowcasters are guaranteed to spawn. That said, if you visit a POI, you will likely find one either in a chest or as ground loot.

I find Bowcasters quite frequently at hot zones (POIs with gold names) and have seen plenty at Grand Glacier in particular. Oddly enough, I’ve not found any at the new Stormtrooper camps, although they are the place to visit if you’re after the new E-11 Blasters.

Should I use the Bowcaster in Fortnite?

The Bowcaster is a powerful weapon but requires a steady hand and has a charge time. You can charge shots by holding the fire button, which is required to do the most damage. The problem is it’s pretty hard to hit your target with a charged shot when they are jumping all over the place.

I don’t think the Bowcaster is useless, but I’d swap it out for a Frenzy Auto Shotgun. The Shotgun is far easier to use, and you’ll wreck Bowcaster users if you can get close.

If you insist on using a special weapon, the Waterbending Scroll is still available and is arguably the most powerful weapon on the map. The Waterbending Scroll has infinite ammo, and the projectiles don’t drop at range. This Scroll is so potent you can even challenge Snipers, and it offers utility you can’t get with the Bowcaster.

In Fortnite BR, the player with the best guns usually wins. If you want to guarantee yourself some top-tier loot, make sure you check out the Weapons Bunkers scattered across the map. You won’t find these locations marked on the map but they are well worth the trip.
