Where to loot the GPS tracker from the Dumpster Dead Drop in Warzone 2 DMZ

Dumpster diving.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2‘s DMZ mode has many features and mechanics for those who want a different experience from the standard battle royal. It’s similar to Escape from Tarkov, which emphasizes looting and completing mission objectives rather than being the sole survivor on the battlefield. One of these objectives is finding a GPS tracker from a dumpster. In this article, we’ll tell you where you can locate and loot the GPS tracker from the Dumpster Dead Drop in Warzone 2 DMZ.

To locate the GPS tracker, you first have to head to the middle of the three buildings located northeast of Zaya Observatory . From there, you’ll be able to find a dumpster in the alleyway that contains the GPS Tracker. The mission doesn’t end there, as you’re required to travel through POI (Points of Interest) with the GPS Tracker on hand after.

These are all of the POIs in the Al Mazrah map that you can visit to clear the quest:

  • Taraqq Village
  • Rohan Oil
  • Al-Mazrah City
  • Zarqwa Hydroelectric
  • Al-Safwa Quarry
  • Mawizeh Marshlands
  • Sattiq Cave Complex
  • Al Sharim Pass
  • Zaya Observatory
  • Hadif Port
  • Sa’id City
  • Ahkdar Village
  • Al Malik Airport
  • Al Samman Cemetary
  • Sarrif Bay
  • Sawah Village
  • Al Bagra Fortress

Note that you have to get the GPS Tracker and travel through the different POIs in a single run, otherwise your progress will reset. We recommend you do this as early as possible to avoid conflict with other DMZ players while getting the GPS Tracker.

After you’ve visited the POIs, head over to the ex-fil location or complete a hostage rescue mission to access an additional ex-fil helicopter. For this run, vehicles are very crucial. If you’re flying solo, we recommend getting a ground vehicle first, then eventually acquiring a helicopter so that you can quickly get the GPS Tracker and fly toward other POIs.
