One of the more memorable of the myriad side quests available, Dreaming of Blue Skies, asks you to find an amazing meal fit for a giant bird. Here is our guide telling you which condor food you should choose in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – Which condor food should you choose

When you reach the Crow’s Nest area, sometime after you satisfy the When Words Won’t Do objective, make your way to the back of that area to meet a fellow named Colin. You should agree to help him provide an offering to a great condor. This side mission ends with an option about what to feed the giant bird. You should choose the Bovine Meat to feed to the great condor.

The actual mission begins with a trip through the hunting grounds. You can choose the Head to the Hunting Spot option from the map. On your way through the area, you’ll track down a cow while riding on a chocobo.

As you chase the nimble cow, you’ll face several enemy groups. One of these is the Mystic Dragon, which snatches up the very cow you’ve been pursuing. You have to follow it to its den to lodge any complaints. When the inevitable battle follows, you’ll find the airborne dragon falls most easily to ranged attacks because it spends a lot of time in the air and you do not. Wind damage is your friend. Anticipate an extended battle.

When you finally defeat the Mystic Dragon, you get to choose a food you would like to offer up to the great condor. There are three choices. You can even choose the Monster Flesh (pictured above) you acquired upon defeating the dragon, if you wish. That’s the option that appeals to me because it seems like it ought to be the rarest of delicacies. However, you came here with cows on the brain and you should stick with that mindset. Choose the Bovine Meat and give it to the great condor for the best ending to the side quest. I guess maybe the dragon meat is just too tough.

With that unpleasant task out of the way, now you can get back to cheerier affairs, like AP farming for Materia leveling. There’s a lot of heroic stuff still left to accomplish, after all.
