Survivor difficulty explained

Survivor difficulty in Remnant 2 is the ideal choice for all players. However, don’t underestimate its challenges. It is well-designed and balanced to offer a fair but demanding experience. You may face tough battles, especially against bosses, and when surrounded by multiple enemies. But with strategic thinking and resourcefulness, you can progress through the story and survive. This mode is perfect for those not experienced with “souls like” games or who prioritize the storyline rather than just the gameplay difficulty.

Veteran difficulty explained

Veteran mode is a great starting point if you’re looking for a more significant challenge but don’t feel ready for the highest difficulty level. While enemies are more deadly and deal more significant damage, it’s not overly complex. If you’re familiar with games like this, the veteran mode could be your perfect difficulty level.

Nightmare difficulty explained

The Nightmare difficulty lives up to its name – it’s incredibly challenging. If you’re new to this type of game, starting with a more accessible difficulty level is best. However, if you’re experienced with similar games and enjoy a tough challenge, Nightmare difficulty might be perfect for you. Just be aware that enemies will be difficult, and bosses will be harder to defeat. Only choose this difficulty if you’re confident in your skills.

Apocalypse difficulty explained

The Apocalypse difficulty in the game is the hardest difficulty level in Remnant 2. This difficulty level won’t be accessible from the beginning but will be unlocked once you’ve completed the game on any difficulty level. This difficulty level is highly challenging and requires familiarity with the game mechanics and the right build strategy. The enemies and bosses are potent, leaving no room for errors.
