While enemies are more deadly and deal more significant damage, it’s not overly complex. If you’re familiar with games like this, the veteran mode could be your perfect difficulty level.
Nightmare difficulty explained

Can you Change your difficulty level in Remnant 2?

Yes, you can change your difficulty level in Remnant 2, but you must re-roll your campaign. By re-rolling your campaign, you will reset your campaign progress but not lose your character progress. While this isn’t ideal, you won’t lose any character progress, and make be a viable option if you choose a difficulty level that is too challenging.
You can re-roll your campaign by following these steps:
- Head to Ward 13
- Access the Use Checkpoint crystal
- Select the World Settings menu
- Pick the Reroll Campaign option
- Select Difficulty
