Windforge is a game described by developer Snowed In Studios as an RPG that gives players “the freedom to create elaborate structures and airships used for exploration and combat in the skies”. In practice, this means a 2D building interface akin to Terraria (in other words, your character does everything by aiming materials in the place you want to put them) and a central concept similar to Ice-Pick Lodge’s Cargo! (build crazy machines and fly them).

It plays fast and loose with physics (thankfully, or most of the bizarre constructions would never get off the ground) and seems to have an interesting line in ramming structures with air-bound vehicles.

Windforge is aiming for a late 2012 release on Steam.
