Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion unveiled

Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls

As expected, Blizzard revealed the first expansions for Diablo 3 called Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.

Included in the expansion is a new class called the Crusader who is similar to the Diablo 2 Paladin, the main antagonist is Malthael, and the expansion is mainly set in Westmarch. Tweaks are being made to the loot system too, something that was long overdue.

A couple of videos have also been released but if you’re wanting to get down and dirty with all the details, check Diablo: IncGamers now.

Looks awesome. Needs more classes revealed than just the Crusader though.

I am cautiously optimistic. This time I’m not raising my hopes as high as I did for the original D3 release but this does look like it will address a lot of my main current complaints about D3.

I Like the look of the new class, new act and the sound of some of the features, especially the random dungeons and paragon customisation. In addition to that I like the fact that paragon is now account wide. Sometimes I just couldn’t be arsed to play my other classes because I knew that they were 30 paragon levels behind. Some of the “Loot 2.0” items don’t do it for me yet but I have a feeling the mystic is going to have a big say with those enchantments.

I wasn’t so enamoured with the new class initially but the more I’ve seen him play the more he appeals. I’m most excited about going to Westmarch and the new changes to crafting/enchantments.

I would have liked to have a larger stash, open up some of those extra tabs that were present in the early build.
