Spiderweb Software, the Seattle-based developers of resolutely traditional isometric(ish) RPGs, have teamed up with Humble Bundle for a weekly deal. While your eyes may be tempted by the glittering prizes over on Steam today, just consider this: what will be better value in the long run? If you pay more than the average amount on Humble (at the time of writing that’s $3.00 USD,) then you get 15 Spiderweb Software titles.
At a conservative estimate, each title may be 20 hours each. So 15 of them is 300 hours, or TWELVE AND A HALF FULL DAYS. That’s a lot of RPG-ing for not a lot of money. You get the Geneforge saga, a pair of Avernum trilogies, Avadon: The Black Fortress (the first in another trilogy) and a whole bunch more.
Usual Humble Bundle rules apply, you pay what you want, you decide how to distribute your payment (developer, charity, Humble) and then you get a lot of games. Paying at least $1.00 USD gets you Steam keys on the titles for which those exist.
Here’s Spiderweb’s Jeff Vogel to tell you more.
