Wheatley is finally going into outer space [Portal 2]

Recommended Videos

It’s always nice to see dreams come true, and that’s what’s happening to Portal 2’s lovable, but slightly frightening, robo-eye, Wheatley.

NASA has spruced up a metal panel that will soon be sent off to the International Space Station by laser-etching Wheatley and his “In Spaaaaaaa!” quote. The panel is due to ship out on the Japanese HTV-3 supply vessel on 27 July. The launch can be viewed on NASA’s website from 9.15 EST/2.15 GMT.

The name of the individual responsible for the etching has not been named by NASA or Valve. Whoever you are, nice work. Very nice work.
