WoW iPhone And iPod App

Blizzard Entertainment has launched a new iPhone and iPod application which allows players to connect to the World of Warcraft Armory, a feature that holds information about game characters and items.

In addition to providing information about individual characters and in-game items such as weapons and gear, players can also check their guild raiding schedules and try out new talent specs. Blizzard’s own mobile department has developed this application; one wonders what else the company has up its sleeve.

Rumours of a mobile phone client for WoW have been persistent for the last couple of years, though most turn out to be untrue. While gameplay on a mobile would obviously be limited, simple tasks such as visiting the auction house and chatting to friends in-game could be carried out. Could we play WoW on our mobiles one day?
