Mojang is collaborating with Telltale and members of the community to make Minecraft: Story Mode as ‘Minecrafty‘ as possible. Set in London in 1868, the game will feature two playable protagonists, twins Jacob and Evie Frye; during the open world experience, players will be able to switch freely between the two characters. The game allows you to steal a horse-drawn carriage and hook-shot straight to the top of a buildings; Ubisoft looks to be mixing up the the Assassin’s Creed formula this time around.

13. YIIK: A Postmodern RPG

YIIK is a Colorful 3D JRPG-like game set in the 1990s, about eight strangers, a mysterious woman who vanished in an elevator, and weaponized Panda plushies. The game looks to be taking a page from the Persona series; characters with unique personalities clashing with one another. It’s rare that we see RPG set in modern times, a game-style you’d think would see more often. YIIK: A Postmodern RPG is slated for Q4 of this year.

14. Batman: Arkham Knight

If there’s one thing I love about the Batman Arkham series it’s the dark atmosphere and mature tone that sets it apart from other comic book games. And it looks as if Arkham Knight is taking things to a whole new level. With a spectacular cast, awesome Batmobile gameplay mechanics, and a unique ‘multi-fighter’ spin on the already superb free-flow fighting, this Arkham title will surely make a bang when it releases June 23rd.

15. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Are you prepared for an open-world Metal Gear Solid game? We are! MGSV: The Phantom Pain will serve as a sequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and a continuation of the narrative established there, and will carry over the same tagline of Tactical Espionage Operations first used in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Developer Kojima Productions sure seem to be taking this legendary series into bold new directions. The Phantom Pain releases on September 1st, this year.

16. Mass Effect 4 (Not confirmed)

Although Mass Effect 3 never made its way to Steam, I still have hopes we’ll see the next Mass Effect title on PC. Not much light has been shed on the next-generation Mass Effect title; BioWare has released images that show various types of planets and space setting, along with plot details via a survey leak. Something big is up BioWare’s sleeve; were bound to know more at E3. (Mass Effect 4 is not the official title)

You control a Veteran and make your mark in the blood-soaked Arena. From what we’ve seen, the game sure looks to be shaping up nicely. Dark Nexus is due out in Q2 of this year.

18. Mighty No. 9

Mighty No. 9 is an upcoming action-platform game in development by Comcept, and produced by the legendary Keiji Inafune. Mighty No. 9 very closely resembles another Inafune creation, Mega Man, in both gameplay and character design, and is considered by many as its spiritual successor. Thanks to its huge Kickstarter success, we’ll be playing Mighty No. 9 on the 15th of September.

19. Just Cause 3

Just Cause 3 is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Avalanche Studios. It has been confirmed that Just Cause 2??’?s iconic features; the grappling hook and parachute will return with improved mechanics. The focus on mayhem and exaggerated physics will also remain, along with a new wingsuit. The game sure looks to be action-packed and insanely explosive. Just Cause 3 releases Q4 of this year.

20. Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is an upcoming first-person shooter under development by Ubisoft Montreal. Siege is considered to be a successor to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots, which had been cancelled. The game will feature extremely distractible environments, causing you to really strategize and work as a team to try and save people being held captive.
