SEGA and Creative Assembly team up with Games Workshop as Total War goes fantasy.
Total War: Warhammer will bring the rich Warhammer universe to life promising “huge-scale real-time battles and an addictive turn-based campaign game of statecraft, politics and empire building”. Bringing the Warhammer universe to life in Total War will be an interesting shift, because players can expect huge monsters, flying creatures, and – of course – magically fueled battles.
Total War: Warhammer will the be the first game to release as part of a trilogy according to Creative Assembly, with the next two games being standalone titles. Additional DLC will also be released for each game.
“We’ve always loved the Warhammer universe, and couldn’t wait to approach it with the same colossal scale and authenticity that has characterised our titles for the last 15 years,” said Total War: Warhammer Project Lead, Ian Roxburgh. “We’re bringing it to life in a way that nobody’s attempted before.”
