Sony Santa Monica has revealed plans to move to a larger location in nearby Playa Vista, to expand their studios.

As they elaborate in this blog post, the Santa Monica facilities are actually built on top of some 1900s-era train station. After 47 games and 14 years, they simply need more room to grow. The new Playa Vista facilities will have new recording and mocap facilities.
