For a few months now players have been waiting to encounter the mysterious alien Thargoid race in Elite: Dangerous and now it’s happened.
The contact with the aliens has been documented in a serious of videos posted today and confirmed as something strange by Frontier in a tweet. There’s been all kinds of hints in recent times such as audio messages and crashed ships but now it looks like Frontier are actually making things happen. Numerous videos were fired onto Reddit showing what was discovered.

If you have the game now might be a good time to get out there and find out what’s going on. There’s no way these guys will end up being a lovely civilisation just waiting to say hello. Where’s the fun in that?
