Rumor: Is Patrice Desilets (Assassin’s Creed, Sands Of Time) About To Make Games Again?

Former Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia developer Patrice Desilets has dropped cryptic clues on his Twitter indicating he may be ready to make games again soon.

Patrice sued his former employer, Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia IP owner Ubisoft, following a very tumultuous breakdown in relations when he tried to renegotiate his contract.

To complicate matters further, this tied up production of a game Desilets conceived of and was still in development called 1666. As a result, Desilet’s lawsuit also sought to get the rights to the IP back.

And we come to today:

Wouldn’t it be great to have Desilets making games again? It’s a shame that it had to come to this, but of course, gaming is still a business after all. We’re wishing Mr. Desilets an advance happy birthday and look forward to hearing about upcoming projects from him very soon.
