When Splash Damage announced Dirty Bomb it was launched as a crowdfunding campaign. The campaign barely got underway before Nexon stepped in to take on publishing duties and not all backers of the alpha were pleased with the move.
Splash Damage took the offer realising they were inexperienced when it came to publishing games and Nexon seemed a good fit. Splash Damage has now revealed they are taking back all publishing rights and will have full control over the shooter.
According to the update, “the ink is drying on a deal with Nexon”, and players will see changes to the game moving forward.
Now in full control, Splash Damage want to make improvements on issues such as hackers, and the game’s existing anti-cheat system will be replaced with Easyanticheat which will be added to the game next week.
A new website and forums will be going live shortly as Splash Damage continue to make changes to Dirty Bomb.
