HEX Entertainment take over HEX: Shards of Fate from Gameforge

The free to play TCG HEX: Shards of Fate has been published by Gameforge for a number of years but that’s all about to change.

Both Gameforge and HEX Entertainment announced that they are parting company with all publishing, community management, customer support, promotion, sales, marketing and development duties being taken over by Hex Entertainment. The split was by “mutual agreement”.

According to HEX Entertainment the process “will not have any impact on the game itself, character progress, items, or the delivery of new content.” Players will have to undertake a quick process when logging into the game to migrate accounts to the new setup.

Gameforge’s commented, “Gameforge would like to sincerely thank the players for their tremendous support throughout the past years, and looks forward to seeing the HEX community grow even greater as the game continues moving forward through 2017 and beyond.”

HEX Entertainment added, “Hex Entertainment is excited about the future of HEX: Shards of Fate and enthusiastic about the many new features we have in store for the game.

Late last year there was a series of layoffs at Gameforge and looks like they are scaling back following the decision to stop mobile development in October. They have been focusing on the PC free to play space and have a number of titles still to be released including Sparkypants’ Dropzone,
