It’s been a while since we looked at Squad and development has been progressing slowly but surely. This weekend the game is completely free to try on Steam.

The weekend is now underway and there’s also 50% off on the game over the weekend. The free weekend coincides with the release of the v9.2 patch which adds features to “make the free weekend more enjoyable”. These include:
- Auto-joins when there is room (Although that should be assumed.)
- No limits on queues as many people as long as they want.
- Queues split by public and reserve, reserve joins first.
- No more wasted loading times. No longer loading to see “Server is full”.
