The latest PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds patch added new anti-cheat measures but it’s not worked quite as PUBG planned.
Today PUBG decided to roll back the live server to rectify the problems encountered by players including large performance hits and crashes. PUBG had said that even though players were experiencing problems they would not be “removing our recent patch in order to keep blocking cheats effectively”.
This morning they have changed their minds and the update has been rolled back. Despite the anti-cheat measure being added, there are still plenty of reports of cheating so perhaps the new measures are less effective than they hoped and decided it wasn’t worth dealing with all the technical pr0oblem reports.
PC players, despite its effectiveness in blocking cheats, we have decided to roll back our latest live server update.
We will continue to resolve some compatibility issues caused by it. There will be a small patch to download. We apologize for the inconvenience.

You have to wonder whether they will ever be able to stop the cheating and how long legitimate players will put up with it before leaving.
