Plans for a Metal Gear Solid movie was first announced back in 2012, since then there’s not been much word on the project but now it seems a director has been chosen.

Deadline reported that the studio was in talks with indie director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the film will be produced by Avi Arad. To add fuel to the fire, Roberts posted a Tweet that read:
Roberts is best known for his coming of age indie film The Kings of Summer that was released last year. If he does choose to direct the Metal Gear movie then it will be his first studio film.
