Street Fighter V Sells 1,4 Millions Copies

Capcom announced that Street Fighter V has managed to sell 1.4 million copies across both formats (PS4 and PC), both physical and digital, since its launch this February.

While these numbers may sound OK at first, you have to think about the fact that Street Fighter IV on PS3 has sold more than 4 million copies over the course of its lifetime. So, considering the marketing behind Street Fighter V, the game has still a long way to go in order to meet Capcom’s expectations.

The title was originally plagued by various problems, but during the last weeks we have seen Capcom trying to fix many of these issues. If they address Street Fighter V’s most serious missteps early enough and if they keep supporting the game with good updates and additions, than the title will finally find its niche.
