Assassin’s Creed: Unity devs say they didn’t expect controversy

Ubisoft has provided further clarity on the issue regarding the lack of playable female characters in Assassin’s Creed: Unity.

It’s a little better, but still somewhat inconsiderate, and inconsistent with earlier statements. Lead designer Benjamin Plich explained that they designed alternate multiplayer skins to be variations of main character Arno, and so, customizable characters weren’t intended to be used from the onset.

Plich ends by saying that it’s too early to give an official response. It seems to me like they’re willing to take the request seriously.
