Rainbow Six Quarantine

Rainbow Six Quarantine is 3-player co-op with Siege characters

Ubisoft has announced another addition to the Rainbow Six universe. Rainbow Six Quarantine is a 3-player PvE co-op game featuring characters from the G.I. Joe-esque cast of Rainbow Six Siege. The trailer is vague but shows a person in a down-but-not-out state in a dark room. Shots ring out from elsewhere in the building as the light flickers on and off. Vigil and Ela show up to help up the player as the trailer ends.

A critical detail is that, unlike in Rainbow Six Siege, you’ll be able to continue to use your sidearm when downed. It looks like an infection system will also be in place.

The first details about gameplay confirm that the shooting, tactics, and destructibility of Siege will be featured in Rainbow Six Quarantine. Quarantine seems to have a horror theming, making it similar to the Outbreak event from a few years ago in Rainbow Six Siege. It isn’t clear as of yet if the enemies will be zombies or more alien in origin like the Outbreak event.

It’s an interesting decision to have the game be a three-player experience considering Siege‘s five-player team focus. It looks like long-time players will have to trim the fat from their teams. The game is set to launch in 2020. Hopefully, we will learn more about it soon.
