Call Of Duty Modern Warfare

Here’s what the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer looks like in 4k

It was only a week ago that Infinity Ward and Activision fully revealed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer. The news has been mostly sparse thus far, coming mainly by way of drip-feed. With each piece of news, though, the bigger picture has started to take shape, specifically in the multiplayer department. Five days ago, it was revealed that the reboot to the Call of Duty franchise would see dedicated servers. Now, the development team has shared a look at the game in 4k, albeit captured from a PlayStation 4 Pro.

Maps on tap

For one, the gameplay trailer gives a somewhat deeper look at the multiplayer experience you can expect. This is a bit more than what was seen coming out of the Call of Duty World League events having the reveal in tow. In the trailer, there are a few map variants and modes shown throughout the montage of footage. Here is a small breakdown of what is being shown.

  • Grazna Raid – Headquarters
  • Azhir Cave (Night) – Team Deathmatch
  • Hackney Yard – Cyber Attack
  • Azhir Cave – Headquarters
  • Gun Runner – Domination
  • Aniyah Palace – 5 Flag Domination

Don’t forget to Raytrace

Although what was shown came from a PlayStation 4 Pro capture, the specs are probably not too far off from what can be expected for the PC release. One of the biggest differences, though, will be the introduction of Raytracing thanks to Nvidia. This news was announced back in June when on the GeForce blog. This is at least promising if you’re anticipating playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 4k with Raytracing enabled. However, the hardware specifications have yet to be officially revealed. This area is still blank on the official website for both minimum and recommended system requirements.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is expected to release on Oct 25. The game will launch on PC by way of Activision’s Battle.net launcher. That is where you can do the pre-order thing, choosing from one of the three editions available. In doing so, you’ll receive early access to the multiplayer beta come Sept 19.
