The Outer Worlds patch

The Outer Worlds’ latest patch is live, and it does increase the size of text

Yes, you can now read text.

You may recall earlier in the month when we posted a story about the next patch for The Outer Worlds. Its most important feature was increasing the text size so it wasn’t so darn unreadable. Well, good news: it’s finally here.

Obsidian Entertainment confirmed that the latest patch for the game went live this morning. It should apply automatically once you start up The Outer Worlds. And, yes, the in-game text should be a lot easier to read now, since it isn’t so microscopic anymore.

What else is changed in the patch?

The patch, titled 1.1.1.0, also comes with a number of other updates. Along with text size improvements, it does away with a crash once players reach a resolution on Tartarus. On top of that, The Prismatic Hammer now has a bit more balance to it. That means you don’t have to worry about using a level multiplier as an exponent. It now deals a more reasonable amount of damage – which could be good or bad news, depending on how you want to use it.

Additionally, existing Botched companion requests in The Outer Worlds will now have an “active” setting, so players can add them to a party with greater ease. Finally, the team has added a fix for the “Radio Free Monarch” mission. With it, there should be no problems speaking with Nayoka while SAM is in your party.

Make sure to check out the full patch notes for all the details.

To conclude, Obsidian did note that it’s in the midst of “reviewing and working on items that you are sharing with us.” It will continue to support The Outer Worlds with “updates and patches to see how we can make your gaming experience the best it can possibly be.” Have a complaint?
