Rockstar saves RDR2 from the train tracks.

In a press release, Rockstar Games announced today that most of the issues affecting Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC have been fixed. Our technical review of the game noted a few problems, and a lot of players were reporting issues at launch. Rockstar is pleased to have cleared that up, and now they’re offering some extra free stuff.

Red Dead Redemption 2 complimentary care package

For those players who struggled through the issues since Red Dead Redemption 2‘s launch, Rockstar is offering a complimentary care package. The care package offers the Prieto Poncho for free. Also, players can nab a care package at Wheel, Rawson & Co. that includes plenty of supplies to help them as they wander the Wild West. The package offers a hefty amount of ammunition for revolvers, pistols, rifles, and shotguns. It also throws in some incendiary slugs, poisoned throwing knives, and volatile fire bottles for good measure. It further provides the following items:

  • 10x Potent Miracle Tonic – fully restores Health, Stamina and Dead Eye and Fortifies moderately
  • 3x Horse Reviver – revives Horse from severe injury and moderately restores its Health
  • 10x Minty Big Game – fully restores all Cores and yields a Gold Health Core
  • 20x Baked Beans – moderately restores Health Core and Stamina Core

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 players should have access to the package as soon as they download the new patch. If you have the game but for some reason haven’t gotten around to creating a new character, the package should be available within 24 hours. Once the next major update hits later this month, the Marino Bandolier, an off-hand holster, and another care package will be made available to players.

You can grab the game for PC on the Epic Games Store or from the Rockstar Game Launcher. It will be arriving on Steam on December 5. Our own Steven Wong gave Red Dead Redemption 2 an 8 out of 10.
