Cloudpunk delivers an April release date

Well, do ya, punk?!

Are you ready to deliver packages in a futuristic cyberpunk world? What? You’re not?! Too bad! Cloudpunk, the game where you, uh, deliver packages in a futuristic cyberpunk world’s release date has finally been announced. The game is coming out on April 23, so we’ve got a six-week wait ahead of us.

Cloudpunk takes place over a single night in the city of Nivalis. In it, you play as Rania, a courier for the titular package company that ends up interacting with androids, AIs, and others as she delivers packages and hopefully doesn’t bite off more than she can chew. She’ll also be tasked with making choices that can affect the game’s story in multiple ways.

The release date was pushed into the world alongside a trailer that shows some more of what we can expect when the game launches. It shows some footage of Cloudpunk‘s driving, as well as on-foot sections. The trailer even shows off some of the game’s car upgrades, which can create colored trails behind you as you drive. Just like with previous footage, it all only makes me want to play the game more.

If you’re looking to learn even more about Cloudpunk, make sure to check out Nicholas’ short preview from back in November. He was impressed with the game’s atmosphere and the height and architecture of the world the game is set to take us through, so we’re very much looking forward to seeing what the whole game has in store.

And since Cloudpunk is releasing in less than a couple months on Steam, you don’t have too long to wait. Personally, I’m really itching to try this one out, as I’ve always strangely liked courier missions (especially when it comes to delivering pizzas as a certain superhero). Make sure and check back next month for more coverage!
