Who is the very best? When it comes to indie game characters, the recently announced 2D beat ‘em up Bounty Battle will let you discover who the best really is. Characters will be able to fight in a variety of modes, but only one will be left standing. The Bounty Battle roster features 30 characters from 22 indie games. Hopefully, Dark Screen Games will continue to add to that after it launches on July 16.
Get ready to rumble
Bounty Battle can be played by one-to-four players, and many of the battlefields are inspired by the games the fighters hail from. There is a total of 16 different arenas for you to do battle in. Players can partake in a range of game modes, including Tournament, Versus, Challenge Mode, Tutorial, and a Training Room to perfect your fighting techniques.
Each character comes with a unique set of moves and special attacks. They wield their weapon of choice (For some, that is their bare hands.) and are supported by a Minion companion. You’ll also be able to change your indie game characters’ colors to give yourself a unique look.

The 22 games currently featured in Bounty Battle are Guacamelee!, Darkest Dungeon, Dead Cells, Awesomenauts, Nuclear Throne, Owlboy, Axiom Verge, SteamWorld Dig, Oddmar, Jotun, Battle Chasers Nightwar, Death’s Gambit, EITR, Super Comboman, Pankapu, Flinthook, Doko Roko, Tower of Samsara, Blubber Busters, Ruin of the Reckless, The Bug Butcher, and Blocks that Matter.
Bounty Battle will be available for PC through Steam. You can’t preorder it yet, but if you don’t want to miss any updates, you can add it to your Steam wishlist.
