League of Legends’ New Champion Is a Hungry, Hungry… Fish?

League of Legends has unveiled its newest champion, the River King Tahm Kench. Don’t let the big grin fool you, he’s ready to eat everything in his path, be it friend or foe.

Tahm Kench’s abilities revolve around his big mouth and even bigger stomach.

  • Q ability – “Tongue Lash” allows him to lash his tongue out at opponents. Anyone on the receiving end of these lashes will take damage and get slowed. Three consecutive hits with this move will render an enemy stunned.
  • W ability – “Devour” involves having the River King swallow a target. If he swallows an ally, that ally will remain immune to damage for the duration of time spent in Tahm Kench’s mouth.
  • R ability – “Abyssal Voyage” is a true game-changer. Tahm Kench can carry an ally in his mouth, create a whirlpool beneath himself, and dive off to another part of the map. This makes for a speedy getaway, or an unexpected ambush on your opponents.

This River King is built to play Support, with his abilities geared towards protecting the heavy-hitters of the team. Victory must be delicious for Tahm Kench.
