Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha Invites Have Been Sent Out

If you’ve been looking forward to getting your hands on Star Wars: Battlefront, you might want to check if you’ve got mail. EA’s sending out invites for a closed PC alpha and you could be among the lucky ones.

The invite was posted on Reddit, and contains the following information:

  • Minimum specs required – CPU: Quad Core CPU e.g. Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz • RAM: 6 GB • OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required) • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with 2 GB of Video Memory
  • Alpha will be distributed exclusively through the EA Origin store
  • Application for Closed Alpha ends on June 30, 2015 at 1:59AM CET

Applying doesn’t guarantee access to the closed alpha, and this will be mostly tech-focused, as can be expected from alphas. If you don’t get in, you shouldn’t feel too bad. Some alphas run into so many problems that it’ll feel like you’re running into a brick wall repeatedly, and these folks will do that so things can run more smoothly when EA opens up the beta.

Star Wars: Battlefront is scheduled for launch on November 17, 2015.
