I still can’t get over the fact that people talked so much about Tracer’s original victory pose, but I guess that’s what happens nowadays in forums and in an online environment in general.
You probably remember how the victory pose of the female Overwatch character Tracer had started a huge controversy last week and now it seems that Blizzard’s creative directors decided to move on with a new pose. You can see it below:

A player in the closed beta had criticized the original pose as needlessly sexualized and out of character for Tracer and that’s how everything started. The whole controversy was enough for Blizzard’s team to scrap the pose and go in another direction.
Redditors claimed that the new pose seems like an homage to a work by the noted pin-up art painter Alberto Vargas. If you look at the picture below, you will probably agree with that claim:
Tracer’s new victory pose is more playful compared to the older one, but the butt cleavage is still there, so we are not really sure how everything will end up. But, as I mentioned in the beginning of the post, the whole story has created an extravagant controversy with way too much exposure.
Overwatch’s open beta will start on May 3, and the game launches May 24 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
