Deus Ex has its ‘sexual objects’ removed for Japan

Japanese edition of Square Enix’s upcoming cyber-punk RPG gets minor cuts.
Despite the extreme nature of many films that come from the Land of the Rising Sun, videogames in Japan are often the subject of enforced edits due to the fact that they are sold in children’s toy stores. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the latest example of this.
Square Enix have confirmed that a cut-scene that depicts a character’s internal organs has been altered. Further, the game contains a “sexual object” which has been removed from the Japanese version.
As an interesting side note, PC games in Japan are not subject to the same cuts as console games given the fact that they are not sold in toy stores.
