No Man Sky’s First Update is Already in the Works

No Man’s Sky was recently confirmed to finally be going gold after what seems like a century-worth of waiting. Despite the recent announcement, Sean Murray, the mastermind behind the project, has stated that the team is already hard at work on the game’s first update.

He made the announcement via Twitter:

That’s some serious dedication! The game’s filesize is only a mere 6GB, the majority of which is made up of audio. It’s unknown exactly what this update will include (bug fixes, perhaps?), but with the game itself being so lightweight, the update shouldn’t be that much of an issue either.

No Man’s Sky touches down in the US on August 9th, and on August 12th in Europe and Asia.
